Home Again.....

It was so nice to get away and just forget about everything for a couple of weeks but on the other hand it really is nice to be home again.....

My time away has given me a new zest for life and I'm now really motivated to get my but into gear with a few things that I've had in the pipeline over the past couple of months... So as my DH would say, "watch this space...." LOL!!!

While we were away Miss Connie had the thrill of her life when she got to travel to big school for the morning with her Aunty MeeMar....
It's about a 40min bus drive to my little sisters (Sam) school from where my Mum lives... Sam is in yr 10 and thought that Connie might enjoy a trip in with her to meet some of the big school kids. Boy was she right, Connie hasn't been able to stop talking about it ever since....

Here's a sneak peak of some of the knitting that I did while I was away..... A cute little brown and yellow top with a feather and fan trim.....
And this little purple and cream one with a stripey garter border.....
I'll post some better pics soon as I get them, promise....
While away I also took the plunge and got all of my hair chopped off.... (this is me at 6:15am this morning, not a good look)

It's been 15 years since I've changed the length of my hair this drastically and I love it..... It's one of those wash and wear styles that's not supposed to need much work, I'll be the judge of that come the end of the month but so far so good, I love it!!!!!

Thanks for all of your kind words on my last post , I don't know why it happens but sometimes life just gets too much and it's nice to be able to step away for a while, thanks for understanding......

Hugs... Jodie..... :)

  3. It is always good to get away and put things into perspective and relax a bit. I love your new haircut. I cut all my hair off about 15 years ago now and would never go back to long hair again. I love those little tops you knit, is it your pattern. The colors are beautiful together.

  6. Love the new hair cut - have done a similar thing recently:) Although if I want mine to stay nice I have to run the straighter through it or it is a fuzzy nightmare.

Glad to see you home and relaxed.

    Will watch this space:)

Cute knits and what an adventure for a little miss.

  7. Those tops are adorable. Love the hair too! I most likely will do the same when it is summer here. For now it keeps my neck warm. :)

  9. I'm glad you're back home and all refreshed. Love the new hairstyle - nice and carefree. Mine's been long and short and all in between, currently long with no fringe, as it is the easiest on the bike. You've been very busy with the knitting needles, great projects as usual.

  10. i love your new haircut. i'm all in favour of the short do! what i actually think i like doing is going from long to short - that's probably why i leave my haircuts for about six months - then come out looking like a new person!
glad you enjoyed your time away - but i bet it is nice to be home.

  13. It's good to take a breather every now and then. Helps stop you from getting overwhelmed.
Also, very much liking your new cut! My hair used to be long enough to sit on but has been fairly short for the last 15 or so years now. Can't imagine going back to long hair now!

  16. SO glad that your time away was so restful and healing. We all need that space to rejuvenate at times. And what a fabulous opportunity for miss connie to get to hang out where the big kids spend their days! :-)

The new haircut looks great, especially for 6:15am! Hopefully it'll be a good wash & wear--I'm the same way about styles. Am glad that you are liking it so far :-)
