Independent Women???

Most days my girls are up to their elbows in dirt working along side their 'Daddy' in the shed or out in the paddock........

I do so hope that all of this 'hand's on' learning they encounter will enhance the young independent women that they will hopefully one-day become.....

One can only hope, right????

  1. Love these pics. So adorable. A mighty fine way to raise your girls I think.

  2. I think all girls growing up on a property end up a lot more "practical" as a matter of course. It is definitely an advantage.

  3. The more practical skills a person has, the better. It will serve you well throughout your life.

  4. I grew up on a farm next to my dad and I now have many skills that some women just are a little afraid of. I can handle a triton work bench, power saw, drop saw, lawn mower, whippersnipper, tractors, trailers and swing a hammer. I can do many things that I was taught to do safely and it has put me in good steed for married life. I work along side dave and love it. I'm even contemplating a chainsaw course this year (be it a small chainsaw...the smallest I can find!) Girls need to be with their dads just as much as mum's. You are a lucky lady being married to a man that loves his girls so much. xx

  7. We raised our girls to be independent women. It took them 5 years each to get through college and they both have jobs where they can support themselves. It makes me feel good to know we raised them the best we could. I know if I died tomorrow my daughters will be alright. If I did one thing right while living my life it was to raise women with good moral character. Time spent with children is never wasted time, no matter how busy your day may be. It is good to keep them close, they learn a lot :)

  8. I don't think you need to hope, it's a guarantee and their mum is a strong independent woman so they are getting it from both sides...Well done!
