The last couple of days has seen me spending some quality time with a good friend.... First we sewed Miss Millie a new little peasant style top (very similar to this dress) using some super cute mushroom fabric I picked up from this great on-line shop for under $2....
Then we worked on some little skirts...
I'm so lucky that my good friend is also awesome at embroidery, she made these size labels for my new skirts in next to no time.....
Very simple but straight to the point, what do you think???
Here's another little skirt that we made but if you look closely you'll see that the black label is in a different spot.... I'm still unsure as to where it looks better, down the bottom or in the middle, what do you think???
(another size label pic)
So as you can see it's been 'SEW GOOD' catching up with my friend, I really have been missing her... *wink*
Take Care..... Jodie..... :)

I love that photo of Miss Millie, how gorgeous does she look. I really like your skirts too, and I think the label looks great at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! I like the tag in both spots for variety but the one in the middle/side is pretty cute. Thanks for the cheap fabric link am going to suss it out now. xo m.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sewing; and isn't Millie growing up!
ReplyDeleteI've got a friend like that...I miss her - the tag idea is a great one.
ReplyDeleteLove the little tags - I made up some on the machine for gifts last year:)
ReplyDeleteI like your tags on the bottom (just my opinion)
My My Miss Millie has grown...she is so cute...lovely sewing you got done..love the skirts.
ReplyDeletecheers
So cute! I LOVE those little skirts!
ReplyDeleteAlways love reading your blog, I'm a lurker!... I like the tag in the middle, but everyone else seems to like it at the bottom...ah well, knew I was different! :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers...Jewells
What a great idea to have the little size labels! I love your label too -- I kind of like it in the middle, where it's more prominent!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable. You are seriously so gifted. I like the label on the bottom as it allows for more attention on the actual clothing item, but still is noticeable. Glad you enjoyed a good visit with a good friend! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat sewing - so much more fun in company!
ReplyDeleteohhh I love it all the pix... the clothes... the cutie pie! Hope youa re having a great break!
ReplyDeleteOh Jodie your sewing looks SEW GOOD!. Love the skirts and I think the label looks good on the top/plain fabric so it doesn't get lost in the patterned fabric.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely relaxing time with your family. xx
You are so good! They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've so enjoyed reading your blog, and love the little skirts .. was very excited to see the brown skirt with the pink pigs border .. I have a remnant of that actual fabric leftover from making a basinette mattress cover. Thanks for the ideas of how to use that remnant!
