Flashback Friday

Angela over at Three Buttons has come up with this fantastic idea... Flashback Friday. Every Friday you post a pre 1985 picture with yourself in it and say a little tit bit about it. Here is my first picture.....It was taken in 1984 when I was just a wee lase. I can still remember drying myself in front of that old fire to this day. I can't remember the amount of times that I bent over and burnt my bum on it when I was drying my feet though, too many, I lost count. My mum was/is so clever, she made all of our clothes back then, even this little outfit that I have on.

Have a Happy Weekend Everyone!!!!

  1. I remember those heaters. With the glass in the front that you could never see through. We had only a electric bar heater. How did we ever survive back then. I will have to search on the weekend for a great photo to post for next friday. Complete with homemade outfits as well. Love your gumboots. Have a great weekend too.

  3. Oh how fun. Look how cute you were! And how great that your mom made your clothes, I had to beg my mom to make me anything growing up. Sometimes I wonder how we are even related :)

  5. Hi Fiona,
I don't know how we ever survived back then either. We're definately way to spoilt now days.
I can't wait to see your flashback picture next Friday.

    Hi Ab,
I know!!! What ever happened to me...hehehe

    Hi Sara,
Thanks! Wasn't your mum a sewer? You're so clever and creative, where did you get it from?

  6. Hi Cookyblue,
Oh, how sad that your mum stopped sewing and never started again... Did she not enjoy it? My mum is still an avid sewer, she's always working on something new with her Janome. I was lucky enough to recieve her first Janome, the one that made all of my clothes when I was young, for my birthday a couple of years back and I'm still using it to this day. I just love it!!!!
