Yesterday I popped into my local thrift shop, St Vinnie's, and look at what I found...
I just couldn't
believe my eyes when I came across a big basket labelled 'aprons'. It had about 30 or so in it... I was in
heaven! I just love aprons and some of the fabric in these old ones will be fantastic sewn into mini aprons for my princess like in this
post.
Now I could have bought all of those beautiful aprons as they were only 50cents each and I know that the money goes to a good cause, but I restrained myself and only bought 8. It was so hard to pick which lucky aprons would be spending the rest of their life in my wonderful abode..... After an hour of
decision making I'm pretty happy with the selections that I have made. My favourite one of them all would have to be this one...
I just love the daisy fabric, it's absolutely
DIVINE!!!! As you can see it still has the original tag on it...
Now isn't that priceless? I also noticed these little treasures while I was sorting through the aprons.
They are the cutest little things! After a soak in
detol and a good clean they've come up brand new. They all stack inside each other and as you can see my little princess thinks they're pretty terrific.
That about wraps it up for my thrifty post... I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!
What a great find and the original label is such a treat. Love those toys. I'm realising you find the best things at thrift shops when you are not looking.

Oh you lucky duck! Vintage aprons are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona,
ReplyDeleteYou're so right!!! When you're looking for something you can never find it and then when you're just up for a browse heaps of goodies are revealed.
Hi Ab,
Just think... When you move here you too will be able to shop at my thrift shop!!
Hi Amber,
Tell me about it!!! I'm still pinching myself that I found such a beauty. That apron can just be folded up and put away for safe keeping for now I think.
The ladies at the shop know me well and as soon as I walked in they said that 'these (being the aprons) have your name all over them'... How sweet, and boy were they right.
Hi Hayley,
Yeah they're cups, I think. They're pretty cool alright!

Hi Ali,
I always thought that the Sydney op shops would be heaven, but obviously not. Thumbs up to the old country town op shop.
Hi Margret,

Hi Felicia,
