Flash Back Friday #4

I just love this picture....It was taken in 1983 by one of those photography groups like pixie photos. I was 2, I think. The little dress that I have on, not that you can see much of it, was made by my mother. I love the fabric and the little lace around the sleeves is so gorgeous.

My little princess turns 1 at the start of next month and my mum has made her first party dress, peter pan color and all. She posted it yesterday so I should receive it on Monday. She decided to make her own patten and the fabric that she has chosen to use is a mixture of red and white. I can't wait to see what she's crafted up...

  2. My mum said that it took forever for my hair to grow. Unfortunately my daughter is the same. She's nearly 1 and it doesn't look like I'll be putting her hair up in a pigtail for at least another year (sigh). Everybody tells me that they can see a bit of me in my little princess but I think she leans more towards her fathers jeans especially with her fair features.

I love the earings too. I'm thinking of getting my little princess done at xmas time.

    Hi Cathie,
I think mum was the same with us kids when we reached a certain age. It's a pity, that's the way society makes us I guess.

  12. Love the Pixie snap! I also love the fact that your Mum, like mine was a thrifty sort, able to knock together all those clothes. You must be very busy..no post for a while. I've "tagged" you, so come & visit!
