I'm playing along with Christina's 'Made By Hand' meme tonight...
Tonight I'm working on a ripple for my littlest, Tobie (1 next month), for Xmas.
I'm making it using Cascade Sierra (80%cotton/20%wool), a 5mm hook and Lucy from Attic 24's super easy pattern - tutorial here. I was originally only going to use 3 shades but now that I've started am thinking that an ombre of blues would be much more fun...
What do you think???
Gorgeous colours
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie... xx
DeleteI love the colours, I have a bit of a thing for blue and green together though :)

DeleteOh yes...use all those beautiful colors! He's going to be one year old already? Time flies. I'll have to try the Cascade Sierra as it sounds lovely and I love the look of your blanket.

DeleteOmbre without a doubt!! Bit of an injustice to your selection of colours if you only chose 3!
ReplyDeleteSo true Christine... :)
DeleteSo gorgeous! I've made this blanket a million times and have done it in ombre too - it really does work out well. Aren't Lucy's patterns the best? Loving the blues :) Kx
ReplyDeleteThanks Kylie... Lucy's patterns are the greatest!
DeleteThanks for popping by... :)
Over the last couple of days I have been thinking of a large crochet project and came up with a blue ripple blanket for my king size bed. Will have to save up to buy all the wool and will reference your choice of colors.
ReplyDeleteAs a big fan of Lucy I was going to use her ripple blanket pattern and liked the idea of crochet waves of blue. If you don't mind me asking how much is each skine? I have never used them before... Just trying to work out my budget.
Many thanks for sharing!
What a coincidence - I love the ripple pattern by Lucy and these blues look so great together... :)
DeleteThis yarn is 80% cotton/ 20% wool. It comes in 100g skeins and is $10.50 per skein.
You can buy it from here; www.jellywares.com
