Girl-y Time

We've been harvasting handfuls of Bok-Choy everyday this week and our most favourite way to eat it is steamed, seasoned and stirred through some yummy rice noodles - simple but GOOD!!!

On the Shop front I'm very excited to now be stocking 12 shades of Organic Cotton by Malabrigo. It's 100% Certified Organic Cotton with Natural Dyes added which are environmently friendly and free of chemical agents. I'm hoping to have them up on my website within the next week or so but if you can't wait until them email me and I'll send you through a detailed description with pictures of the shades I have in stock...

After many long discussions DH and I decided 3 weeks ago that it would be a good idea to bring the girls into town to the Shop with me on Friday's and Saturday's. These will be our days for girl-y time...

There'll be Library visits, a little stitching, some play time at the park and of-coarse the usual Shop stuff....

We're taking each week as it comes for now and even though at times it gets pretty tough here in the Shop with the girls, especially when it's super dooper busy, I really am lucky to be able to spend the time that I do with them, they're only this young once - right??!!?!!

  1. Many happy returns for your birthday, I am exactly 12 years and 1 day older than you are. I have been super busy making for my first market stall and getting more and more excited and nervous all at once, yes, it's possible - *yikes*. Happy spring to you, and I am sure your little girls will love the time they spend with their beautiful Mum in the shop.

  4. Oh bok choy is delicious. I love it put into stir fry. I also like it cooked with a little bit of sesame oil and soy sauce and garlic too. How fun for your girls to be able to help you in the shop. I know I would love to spend all day there. The organic cotton looks beautiful.

  5. Doesn't hurt them one bit. My girls grew up being in the shop quite a bit and they did lots of little jobs like cleaning the skirting boards and getting the dead flies out of the windows. All experiences are good and you'll be pleasantly surprised in a few years by just what are their special memories. You're a great Mum Jodi

  9. I think your girls being with you in the shop is great for you and them. They are little worker bees who can lend an extra hand when you need it. As time goes by they will be even more help to you and face it, children are never too young to learn, gotta start sometime. The new yarn is scrumptious and so pretty, as all your yarns are. The bok choy, I honestly don't think I have had any unless it was mixed somehow in a Japanese or Chinese dish we might have had while eating out. I will have to put that on my list of foods to try. Thanks for suggesting it. Hon, did I miss your birthday?, if so, I wish you a Happy Belated Birthday and hope it was a good day for you.nuetr
