Hanging Towel....

With the send date for my swap fast approaching I picked up the needles and knit the cloth I had picked out for my partner.... It's more of a hanging towel than a washcloth, but I love it all the same and think that my partner will too.... I've decided to team it up with a few little dish scrubbers..... The first one that I made I stuffed with a sponge and to be honest, I don't really like how it's turned out. So this one will stay here at 'Darling Downs' with me.....The second one I made is just perfect!!!! *grin*I used the 2 yarns from the hanging towel knit together for this one and am so much happier with how the finished produce looks all sewn together.... I have another one of these cast on as I type this, with a bit of yellow thrown in for good measure.... :)
The hanging towel pattern is a freebie from here....
The first scrubber pattern is a free download from here...
The second scrubber pattern is a freebie from here....
Here's hoping your having a lovely Sunny almost Spring like weekend like we are here... Take Care :)

  3. The hanging towel has turned out beautifully. I was nearly going to knit that up for my swap partner and the scrubbies look wonderful too. Just to let you know my parcel went out in the mail yesterday afternoon so hopefully will reach its destination in the next week. I will have to try out one of those hand towels.

  10. The hanging wash cloth looks lovely! If you have another swap later in the year I will join then, hopefully will have more experience by then. I didn't join this time because I STILL haven't finished one cloth.... *grin* will get there though.
Somewhere I have a pattern to croquet a potscrubber using a strip of netting - so it would scrub quite well and possibly replace steel wool. mmm I wonder what htey used to use back in the pioneering days????? oh, the pattern, mum had to do a bit of working out then told me how she thought it should be done.
