OH!!!! I just bought and read a great book for those "treasures". Salvage Studio and you can order it from Amazon.com or just log on to SalvageStudio.com or Amazon and you can browse some of the ideas in the book without spending a penny! They used old silverware for drawer pulls, jewelry and hooks etc. It was SUCH an inspiring book! I love your blog and will be checking in regularly! I want to make some of your crochet items...I WISH I could knit but so far no luck! LOL! Thank you for sharing your life with us!
I love rusty found objects, Ive even got heath picking up old bits of tin of the ground for me now. He's converted. :) Ive been making my own rustic looking frames from some scraps of timber and mounting rusty old things in them with some hand stitching etc ... they look really good. The possiblities are endless.
I'm 30, have been married since September 2005, have 2 beautiful daughters and 1 gorgeous son. I live on a farm 70km's from Cobar in Upper Western NSW. I love spending time on the farm and in the garden. I also love sewing and baking but knitting and crochet would have to be my deepest passions by far. And guess what??? I opened a yarn shop in Cobar in May of 2010 and am loving it!!! I'm open every Friday so if you're passing through my neck of the woods do call in for a chat...

Oooh, treasure! Those rusty lovelys would look wonderful framed as art.
That metal stuff could all be recycled...
Looks interesting - have you thought about a wind chime for the rusty devils.....I have a lovely one made from old spoons and forks.
